Shopping in Valencia is a delight for you and well less delightful for your credit card. But there are some great spots, that go for beyond Zara, Mango and Co. Especially in the Neighborhoods Ruzafa and there are a lot of small stores with a lot of character, that provide the perfect little Souvenir from Valencia, the ideal gift or just a little treat for yourself.
In Valencia, small businesses are still very much alive, and small stores all over the city sell genuinely unique items that make perfect gifts or souvenirs for you. I listed my favorite shops, and among them, you will find everything from handmade postcards up to jewelry and trendy t-shirts.
Al Vent
Al Vent is my favorite store in Valencia! It sells lovely jewelry, bags, and other beautiful items. You will instantly recognize the shop when you wander through the Calatrava street in the old town of Valencia. The décor screams positivity and signs with positive messages mark the exteriors and interiors of the store. There is a lot of handmade jewelry and bags from different artist, and everything has a beautiful style. The owners are very warm people and happy to chat at all times. The good thing about Al Vent is that when you forget something during your shopping stroll, you can visit their online shop.

Gnomo
If you look for a unique souvenir or some new decorations for your walls, Gnomo is perfect for you. They sell a lot of fun items and amazing prints of Valencia. You can even buy them in the frame already, and so you don’t have to worry about framing them later. They also have a lovely recipe card of traditional dishes like Paella, Black Rice or Escarret. Those cards even look nice if you just want to display them in your kitchen. In Gnomo you can also find toys for your or friend’s kids and other great gifts.

La Postalera
I love the dedicated spot for writing your postcard on the place and that the team from La Postalera sends them for you. You can also just get a stamp here, and that saves you a trip to the post office. If you miss passing by there actual store, you can get their postcards in other souvenir shops as well. I do recommend visiting the original store, though.

Wituka
Wituka sells really unique and fun t-shirts, sweaters, and bags with artistic yet funny prints. It is also located in the center of Valencia just a few streets away from the primary market and the narrowest building in Valencia. They have really unique designs, and if you look for something just you connect with your stay, it is the best souvenir.

Kowalski Cosas Bellas Artes
This store sells Dr. Martens boots, some punkish clothes, selected vintage items, and art supplies. Yeah, I know a wild mix, but they make it work. This cute shop in the hippest neighborhood of Valencia Ruzafa is excellent if you look for some unique vibes and quality clothes. I never bought anything there, but I still like going, and I do have my eyes set on a unique pair of boots.

There are many more, and the best way to find them is to wander around the city and see them in the streets of El Carmen and Ruzafa. You won’t be disappointed.
